Call for Demos
CVPR 2008 will host demonstrations. The purpose of demos is to give researchers the opportunity to showcase live demonstrations of their contributions. The demonstrations need not be limited only to papers that have been presented at CVPR 2008. The organizing committee encourages researchers to demonstrate the effectiveness of methods described in papers presented in the past conferences and in other venues, so long as they fall within the broad context of CVPR.
Prospective demo participants should fill out and submit a demo application form. At least one of the people presenting the demo must be registered for the conference. In the event that there are more applications than the available space allows, time of submission of the complete application will be used in selection. The conference also reserves the right to select demonstrations based on the degree of appropriateness for CVPR.
The deadline for demo applications will be May 2, 2008. The CVPR 2008 Organizing Committee is happy to announce that all demos will compete for the Best Demo prize. We would like this to be an encouragement for very strong participation of the community in the demos.

Deadline for all demo applications: May 2, 2008, 11:59pm EST
The Semantic Robot Vision Challenge will be held as part of the CVPR 2008 demos. Participants in SRVC should contact the organizers of the challenge directly for details and deadlines. The demo application form should also be sent to them, rather than the CVPR Demo Chair.
