Identifying Vehicle Behaviors Using Trajectory Information
About Me
I am a senior at Clemson University in Clemson, SC, and I plan to graduate in May 2011. My major is computer engineering.
My Project
This summer I have worked under the guidance of Dr. Mubarak Shah and Berkan Solmaz on identifying vehicle behaviors using the Intelligent Driver Model (IDM), specifically aggresive behaviors. The IDM can be useful in indentifying Speeding and Tailgating vehicles, however it assumes only a single lane of traffic, so I recently began working on a method to learn a statistical model for lanes of traffic, which may be used in conjunction with the IDM to identify more behaviors such as Cutting-Off and Weaving through traffic.
